Dear Manhattan Families, 

I hope you’re enjoying the final weeks of summer as we begin looking ahead to the start of a new school year. Over the coming weeks, our teachers and staff will be preparing classrooms and learning spaces to welcome students back to school. We’re excited for the opportunities this new year will bring and look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s growth and success. Below, you’ll find important information about the start of school, upcoming events, and key dates. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your building principal or the district office with any questions or concerns.

As you may have noticed passing by, it has been a productive summer on the MJHS campus! The construction trailers and equipment have been replaced by grass and beautiful, new spaces and facilities.

• District Administrative Center
  The administrative center now houses our district staff, a conference room, and a spacious board meeting room, built for multipurpose use with state-of-the-art technology to allow for high quality recording, audio, and visuals.

• Practice Gym & Multi-Use Space
  The auxiliary gym will be used for practice, PE classes, and some competition. It includes a small amount of bleachers and added storage for equipment. The added multipurpose space will support students in several programs, providing a room for Occupational and Physical Therapy services.

• Storage Garage
  Similar to MIS and WC, MJHS now has a detached garage for additional storage and grounds management equipment.

• Concession Stand Building
  A concession stand building can now be found adjacent to the MJHS track. The building contains a simple concession stand as well as three bathrooms. Both the concessions and the restrooms will be a great addition to events and activities at MJHS.
